RE-EVALUATING
OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
Hello and welcome to our 60th Edition
of the Good News Magazine 2019. We from
the Good News Magazine would like to wish you a Happy New Year full of God’s
blessings! Having said that, I believe each one of us sometimes need to sit
down and check Biblically to see if our hearts line up with God’s heart.
As we begin examining ourselves this New Year,
we must first make peace with our past and the relationships that have been
broken through unforgiveness. 2018 is over and 2019 is already here. This is a
good time to reflect and re-evaluate our relationship with our Lord. It is also
a good time for God’s people to take inventory of their walk with the Lord. We
should take a very close look at where we are in our relationship with Him. We
need to examine ourselves and see where we have been, where we are and where
the Lord wants us to be.
Let’s start by reading Psalms
139:23-24, Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And
see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. I
believe all of us would want to walk right with God. We all desire to lead and
live a holy life worth pleasing our Master. That’s why we need sometimes to ask
ourselves, “Am I in the right direction? Have I sinned against God?” The more
we continue to evaluate ourselves in this manner, the more we draw closer to
God. As the Lord knows us thoroughly, and we are strangers to ourselves, we
should earnestly desire and pray to be searched and proved by His word and
Spirit. If there be any wicked way in me, let me see it; and do thou root it
out of me. The way of godliness is pleasing to God and profitable to us; and will
end in everlasting life. As believers, we all desire to be kept and led in this
way, that we may not miss it, turn out of it, or tire in it. The best thing
that happens when we allow God to search us through is that He will once again
be able to lead us in the right path. Click HERE to continue reading #TheGoodNewsMagazine
