THE GOOD NEWS MAGAZINE 48TH EDITION

The INs and OUTs of God’s Will - By Justus Ondieki

Praise the Lord! It is the New Year with new things. The Good News Magazine team would like to wish you a happy new year 2018 full of God‟s blessings. May the Lord walk you through this year, and may God‟s perfect will and grace be upon you all.
In our previous edition we learnt about ‘Knowing God’s Will' and we saw that God‟s will for us is to first seek His kingdom and His righteousness and the rest shall be added unto us. Also, in this 48th edition, we are going to take you through ‘The Ins and Outs of God’s Will’. When I say the Ins and outs, it could mean when you are in-sync with God‟s will and out of sync with God‟s
will. Do we sometimes get out of order, not doing our Father‟s will? Let‟s cross check from the scriptures. Mark 3:35 says, “For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.”
Clearly, from the above scripture we notice that Jesus commended those who did God‟s will. In other words, whoever does not do God‟s will won‟t be recognized by Jesus. Jesus said that His true relations are those who know and do God‟s will. In the parable of the two sons, Jesus rebukes the chief priests and elders for failing to do the will of the Father; specifically, they did not repent and believe as we see in.... Click HERE to continue reading reading #TheGoodNewsMagazine

THE GOOD NEWS MAGAZINE 47th EDITION

KNOWING GOD’S WILL - By Justus Ondieki

Hello precious friends, welcome back to our 47th Edition of The Good News Magazine. In our last edition we covered so much on ‘Faith Under Pressure’ and we got to know how our faith is always tested and how we should react when that happens. However, in this edition, we are going to share on what God’s will for our lives is.

I would like to start with two fundamental questions: Are you in a place where you wanted to be? Another question is this: Are you in a place where God wants you to be? It is important to note that it is one thing to be where you want to be and totally a different thing to be where God wants you to be.

THE GOOD NEWS MAGAZINE 44TH EDITION

Need For Hope - By Justus Ondieki

All over the world, there is one thing that everyone yearns for; ‘HOPE’. Young or old, poor or rich, black or white all desperately look for hope. Some would think that hope is based on the achievements they have made so far, yet others think all is lost and there is nothing to expect. But alas, this ought not to be so! It is a pity that people don’t realize they are looking for hope in the wrong places.

Now, this is interesting to ask, where will you spend eternity? To be able to answer this, first we must understand that God is our source of hope and that we are in dire need of it. We at the Good News Magazine, this being our 44th Edition, we will share with you why we need hope in our everyday
life and more so even after this life. Hopes in Leadership It is August 8, 2017 and here in Kenya this is a very important day. It is an important day because the people will go to the poll to cast ballots and elect their favorite leaders for the next five years. As I look down from the lattice of my window, I see different kinds of people flocking toward the nearest polling station. Some from their faces seem happy, others sad. Then I ponder, could this sadness probably be a form of hopelessness? What about
those that seem happy, could it be a false hope that upon voting their favorite candidate they will lose to another opponent?

This indeed is a great day... CLICK HERE to continue reading #TheGoodNewsMagazine

THE GOOD NEWS MAGAZINE 43RD EDITION

Changed From Inside Out By Justus Ondieki

Welcome back to our 43rd Edition of The Good News Magazine. When I received Jesus Christ in my heart I knew that I was a changed man. Things were never going to be the same again. I was so excited that I had a new life. I heard God’s Word and it changed me, just as Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Yes, it was necessary that the Gospel should be preached to us. Someone had to show us whom we were to believe. Jesus, the son of God was the one whom to believe for He could change our hearts of stone...

THE GOOD NEWS MAGAZINE 42ND EDITION

There's Just Something About The Name JESUS! By M. Deborah Senese

Most people hear the name, Jesus, and think of that babe laying in a manger as in the nativity scene
(which by the way, the wise men weren't there. They came when Jesus was a toddler!). For others,
when they hear the name, Jesus, they think of the cross, where He no longer is, but has risen from the dead and is on the right hand side of His Father. But for others still, they hear the name, Jesus, and there is much hatred, disdain and ignorance as they do not really know Him or anything about Him.

Just what they have seen lived in others, professed by those who also don't really know Him, or slandered by others who hate Him. I'm here to tell you that the beautiful name of Jesus, the most precious, sweetest name I know. He is my everything, my all in all, my Redeemer, the lover of my soul, my Savior and my Salvation. He is also so very precious to His Father.

THE GOOD NEWS MAGAZINE 41st EDITION

The Lord Doesn’t Have to Bless but He Does!By Justus Ondieki

How blessed it is to see that we are finally in the new month of June, 2017. It is not our doing; rather it is the Lord’s doing. Wow! Time can fly so fast! We at the Good News Magazine are so glad to share with you our 41st Edition focusing on God’s abundant provisions and blessings to us even though we never deserved it.

I wonder what comes into your mind when you read this famous scripture in John 3:16, in case you aren’t familiar with it, this is what the Word says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” There is so much we can learn from this. Here, I see God full of love; as a matter of fact He is Love Himself. Secondly, God is a giver, third He gives life.
Now, let me ask, “What more blessing can we desire from God if not Love, Provision and Life?”

THE GOOD NEWS MAGAZINE 40TH EDITION

ARE YOU WORRIED ?By Justus Ondieki

Hello precious friends, we are glad once again to share with you our 40th Edition of The Good News Magazine. To start with, I will ask this, are you worried? Well, many of us know much better what it means to worry. As a matter of fact we all may have worried about a couple of things in this life or are still worrying what might happen in the next moment.

Worry could be something or someone that causes anxiety hence it brings us unhappiness. This strong feeling of anxiety disturbs the peace of our mind; it afflicts us with mental agitation or distress. Is there something that causes you worried, concerned, anxious, troubled, or uneasy? What does God say about worry? In Matthew 6:25-26 the Bible says,

THE GOODNEWS MAGAZINE 39TH EDITION

THOUGHT TO PONDER By Justus Ondieki
Hello and welcome back to our 39th Edition of the Good News Magazine.
Did you know that the things of the world will not satisfy the desires of a soul? Luke 12:19- 20 says, “And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?”

Here is a parable, which shows the folly of carnal worldling while they live, and their misery when they die. The character drawn is exactly that of a prudent, worldly man, who has no grateful regard to the providence of God, nor any right thought of the uncertainty of human affairs, the worth of his soul, or the importance of eternity. When he saw a great crop upon his ground, instead of thanking God for that, it was folly for him to think of making no other use of his plenty, than to indulge the flesh and gratify the sensual appetites, without any thought of doing good to others.
Ponder this: what will it profit a man if he owns the whole world and lose his own soul?

THE GOOD NEWS MAGAZINE 38TH EDITION

UP-CLOSE WITH JESUS - By Justus Ondieki

Hello precious friends, welcome back to our 38th Edition of the Good News Magazine. We are glad to share with you this beautiful topic, ‘Upclose with Jesus’. Isn’t it wonderful to know how God cherishes our walk with Him? To start with, you may agree with me that God values so much our relationship with Him. From the very beginning, when God created Adam and Eve, His intention
was to keep our relationship upclose with Him. However, this was short lived when Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit of the forbidden tree.

Genesis 3:8-9 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? This is what’s happening in our current generation. We are running away from God’s presence. We are walking in our own path forgetting that we need God in every day of our lives. We have lost track and disobeyed our creator by sinning against God. Upon realizing that we have sinned before the Lord, we tend to run away and hide, just like Adam and his wife Eve who hid themselves from God’s presence. They never wanted to be close with God because they were ashamed. Are we running away from God? Would you rather run away or stay closer to God? Definitely the latter! In Romans 5:19 the Word says, For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Here, Jesus became the sacrificial lamb who took all our sins on the cross.

THE GOOD NEWS MAGAZINE 37TH EDITION 2017

ABUNDANT LIFE -  By Justus Ondieki

Hello precious friends. Welcome once again to our 37th edition of the Good News Magazine. We are
so much thrilled for what the Lord is doing. Have you ever thought of the word abundant, what it means in our Christian walk with the Lord? It could mean; present in great quantity, fully sufficient or richly supplied.

Now, when God created mankind, He wanted man to bear fruits. As a creator He didn’t want to create something that is not fruitful but rather one that will produce abundant fruits. Look what Genesis 1:28 says, “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Here we clearly see God is talking about Adam and Eve. The first thing we see is that God blessed them. He did not bless them and stop there, but He went ahead and told them to be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth…This is where most of us get it wrong. We have the blessings but don’t want to use those blessings as God intends. God has given us abundant blessings and life.
