FAVORED BY GOD -By Justus Ondieki

Hello precious brothers and sisters! Welcome back to our 56th Edition of the Good News Magazine. I must start by saying that indeed it is by God’s grace I am writing this. In this month’s edition we will share more of God’s favor upon His beloved ones. All of us I believe would want to be God’s favorites. If you are a parent of more than two kids, I believe that there is that favorite child who tends to be closer to you. Does it mean that you hate the others? Absolutely NO. You love them all except that there is one whom you feel so close with.

The story of Joseph is one which I believe many of us are familiar with. Jacob as we see from the Bible loved Joseph more than all of his children. Genesis 37:3 says, “Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.” As we know, Joseph was born to Jacobs’s favorite wife, Rachel. And to show his great love for this favored son, Jacob made Joseph a coat of many colors. And as a result of this, verse 4 says, “And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.”

I believe there is a lot to learn from the story of Joseph. God is teaching us something valuable here. God wants us to understand that we are also highly favored by Him. God has given us a robe of righteousness that we didn't earn or deserve, all because of what Jesus did for us on the cross! This robe we must wear it all the time. It’s called GRACE, and it’s beautiful, and colorful, and it makes you stand out. And the enemy hates it. But wait a minute: If God be for us, who can be against us? You are highly favored by God! Hello precious friends, we from the Good News Magazine want to thank the Lord for this far He has brought us. has been a long journey and we are grateful to the Lord for our 55th Edition. Thank you all for being part of this for I believe that you have been sharing this magazine with friends out there. May our good Lord bless each one of you for spreading the Good News.

We are living in dangerous times and as sin continues to abound evil continue to fill the earth. With the happenings around us, and especially where I live, the love of many has gone down. Why? We are in the last days. People are living a reckless life, they don’t care what will happen as a result of their actions. A mother kills her own baby next door, the next thing that happens she torches the house and flees away from the law enforcers. Upon enquiring what really happened, the reports we hear from neighbors is that the mother was quarrelling with the 3 year old boy why he lost a few shillings she had given him to get something from the looks to me that the mother loves money than the boy’s life, hence murdering him in cold blood! This is a very heart breaking story. Many cases almost like this are happening in Kenya. There are so many cases pending in our courts regarding this. But my big concern is this: Who will bring justice to all those affected with such sickening deeds? Click HERE to continue reading The Good News Magazine

Hello and welcome to our 54th Edition of the Good News Magazine. I am going to start with this question:
Where DO children fit in when it comes to Christianity? When it comes to church? When it comes to growing in the Lord? When it comes to encouraging them in the Lord to continue on to be strong Christian young people who truly love the Lord? Personally, I believe the individual Christian as well as the Church (yes, I mean the united body of Believers) have a problem in this area. One that we are very capable to fixing with the Lord's help and a willing heart. There needs to be a special love for these children that some are blessed with instinctively, and others must learn. However, either way, children are vitally important to the Lord!

I was blessed enough to be raised in a church that was more like family than an assembly of people. For a short while when my mother first had my brother, she was not able to go to church with me, and I had the church bus picking me up and then dropping me off after church was over. The Sunday School bus, as I called it, was great! I was only four years old at the time, but the driver of the big school bus was Mr. Kelly. He always had a big smile and you could tell he just loved to see you as you climbed on that big bus! Along with him was another man that we only knew as Roy. Roy would hold on to the two rails in the front of the bus and lead all us kids in Sunday School songs as we drove from one house to another picking up other kids. I don't know whatever happened to him, but after a while, I just knew he was gone. I believe he went home to be with the Lord, but I was too young to discern that.

Once we arrived at church, from a young child's perception, everybody was so happy to see us. Hugs were given (but not always appreciated as much as I should have, and now, wish I had) small talk was always going on asking things like, “How was your week?” or “What did you do over the weekend?”. “Anything exciting happen this week?” Believe it or not, these people genuinely cared. Then up to Sunday School we would go. Once again, we were welcomed, told we were missed if we were sick the week before and so on...Click HERE to continue reading the Good News Magazine

Difficult Times Will Always Be There - By Justus Ondieki

Precious friends and readers of the Good News Magazine, hello and welcome back to our 53rd Edition. We pray and hope that this editio
n will encourage you and propel you to walk faithfully with God even when in dire situations…
“I tell you, if you come to Jesus Christ everything will be ok! On Jesus’ side it is joy and happiness! No problems when you are with Jesus; come repent and your troubles will end!” Unfortunately these words which were uttered in a crusade a few years back by an upcoming televangelist aren‟t true.

It is very unscriptural to tell people that when you get born again you will have a better life free of problems. Jesus Himself lived amongst us, He went through trials and temptations while on earth and He overcame the world. Look what Jesus told His disciples in John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Although we have God's favorable presence, although we look sometimes happy and at peace in Christ as if we aren't going through some hot stuff, as a matter of fact we cry a lot until we find solace from the Lord.

Let no one therefore lie to you that when you come to Jesus there won‟t be suffering…As long as we are living here on earth we will continue to encounter many challenges and trials…But It is also true that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have peace with God, and so in Him we have peace in our own minds.

How Do We React To Problems?

How do you respond to difficult situations? Do we fret and get angry because God did not do something about our situation? Are you questioning God frequently and complaining almost about everything? Wait a minute, Will you believe it if I told you that besides your suffering, besides your trials, God has a better plan for you? Many people in the Bible like Naomi went through a lot...

WEAK BUT STRONG -  By Justus Ondieki

We are glad to share with you our 52nd Edition of the Good News Magazine. Have you ever heard people say, “I'm only a weak human” and “I don't have strength or vigor to do this anymore?” I am sure you may have heard that. I have said that often and when I look at some of my friends doing so well in the things which I said I couldn't do it makes me reflect on 'why' I couldn't do it then.
However, there are so many people in the Bible that felt weak and yet through their weakness they glorified God. Moses was such a good example. God gave him a task to deliver the children of Israel from Egypt but look what he said to God in Exodus 4:10, “And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue”.

Moses' big issue to him was that he didn't know how to speak well, he could stutter all the time. But what seemed impossible with him God made it possible. Although he was weak, God made him strong enough to deliver His people. God sometimes makes choice of those as His messengers, who have the least of the advantages of art or nature, that His grace in them may appear the more glorious. Even Christ's disciples were no orators, till the Holy Spirit made them such. They became powerful vessels which God used to reach out the world with the Good News message.
Sometimes people might look at us as weak people, yes they may be right but our God always makes us strong in such times. We may appear weak but our strength is drawn from the Lord. David, was despised by Goliath...Click HERE to continue reading The Good News Magazine

DON’T YOU CARE? By Justus Ondieki

Hello precious friends and readers of The Good News Magazine Global. Welcome to our 51st
Edition. The Lord has been so good to me and I am glad to share with you this Month‟s edition with joy and gladness knowing that God will do something new in your life. No matter the storms of life, I have learnt to trust in the Lord at all times. Sometimes back, I came across a young man; he seemed to be in some kind of trouble. I knew this when he started talking tome about his dad, how he had kicked him out oftheir house because of some "bad behaviours". Life seemed harder until he said that he needed to commit suicide as no one cared about him anymore. He had come to the end of himself. I had to counsel him and tell him that although no one seemed to care about him, Jesus did.

The Bible does not remain silent in regard to storms. As a matter of fact, Jesus took His disciples right into the midst of one, leaving them to face the storm while He took a nap. Do you ever feel as though the Lord was sleeping while you faced your storms alone? Jesus' disciples experienced the exact same thing. After a long day of ministering to the crowds, Jesus told the disciples they were going over...Click HERE to continue reading the Good News Magazine.

SALVATION FOR ALL - By Justus Ondieki
We are glad to share with you our 50th Edition of the Good News Magazine. I thank the Lord for this far He has brought us. Our main objective is to preach Christ and the Good News message of salvation to all that we come across. Nothing makes me happier than to see one person come to Jesus.
From the village I come from, many despised the men of God that preached the Gospel of Jesus. They despised them because of the plain truth of the Word that they preached. It is a village full of evil, that when you mention God it sounds as if you are the worst of all, hence people start ignoring you and murmur among themselves when you pass on their way. But the fact is that people will always talk about you, whether good or bad, they did the same to Jesus and believers should be ready to face such critics in this life.

God’s Divine Plan
One thing however is very clear. God had a beautiful plan for each one of us from the very beginning. Surely, He couldn’t have created us with having a perfect plan for mankind. God’s vision supersedes man’s agenda. God is willing and is ready to use anyone who heeds to His call to share His message to the world. Even before we were formed in our mother’s womb God already knew us...
